Hi there. Thanks for stopping by.
Have ya wondered what the ROTF Megatron would look like in the classic Galvatron color scheme? I did. And seeing as how we won't likely be seeing this deco or this figure, I thought I'd bring the concept into the world. Details after the pics, you guys. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A straight repaint, I started with a light mist of silver enamel, so that the Krylon Plum would bond extra well. I then paint washed him with a darker purple, getting in all the cracks and crevices. Finally dry brushed with a lighter, bluish purple. All the reds are clear red over silver, and the cannon is GW flesh wash over silver, then dry brushed with TMM Brass. All the internal parts were dry brushed with TMM silver and aluminum, and the treads were also given a light dustin of silver. I was trying to replicate the G1 deco pattern, including the red abdomen panels and crown area, black chin goatee and overall color placement. Overall, I think the color scheme suits the mold well, and it's interesting to see some of the the darks and lights reversed from the original paint job. If anything the tank seems to fit the G1 character. Any comments critiques love and hate are encouraged. Hope you enjoyed seeing the mold in this deco, it was fun to do.

Nice job on the detailing and the paint scheme. Looks almost like something Hasbro could have put out.
But as you said, there will never be one like that released. Most likely the mold will be rereleased in the Premium deco like its predecessor.

OMG dude, I hate the TF Movie figures with a passion that the ones I do own are left in their vehicle forms but what you've done with this turd line is so beautiful I would buy one as soon as it hit the floor, it just works.

I think I would have suggested some cosmetic changes for Galvatron. The paint work is really cool though. Thanks for sharing!

The mold itself isn't bad. And adding some color to it really brings out the details and shows how good that figure can look. A new head would really set it apart. But great job nonetheless.
