Hasbro has announced that the 2010 Marvel Universe figures will feature stands. Will we see these stands available in Hasbro Toy Shop in the upcoming year? I would really like stands for the figures that I own now.

I hate to post a "Will we see" BUT...Can we expect to see more space super heroes such as Nova? Quasar? Gaurdians of the Galaxy? Kree? Shi'ar? Drax? SEXY GAMORA? ETC? I think this is a very much overlooked area of the Marvel Universe in terms of action figures and don't ya think Rocket Racoon is overdue?

Eh, you shouldn't ask questions like that. Because they might get picked and you know what the answer will be already: "we're always looking at new characters, so anything is a possibility."

And they've commented on Rocket before, saying how cool that would be.

The deadline for this round was July 5th, and we were supposed to get answers back from Hasbro on the 20th. So save any new questions for the next round. The top one on my list is "What are the 6th and 7th figures going to be for the Fans' Choice series and why weren't they announced at SDCC as previously stated?"

I haven't seen any other sites post their Q&A, either. Not to mention that some or all of the questions may have been answered by Hasbro at the Con.

IN WHICH I ATTEMPT TO PROVIDE ANSWERS TO ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS**:

We are looking at the possibility of releasing vehicles in the line, but there are none planned in the immediate future.

2. So far I have really enjoyed this lines articulation but I am mainly dissapointed with The Punisher's upper torso and knees, Human Torche's ankles, The Hulk's ankles and head, and Ms.Marvel's bicep. I do not want to be a stick in the mud but can we please get these fixed?

3. Will The Hulk in the upcoming rumored comic 2-pack be a repaint of the single card? or will it be based off the Kirby Hulk?
1. We are looking at all the great characters in the Marvel Universe. We're big fans of the cosmic characters and GLA, as well. Stay Tuned.

2. We continue to look at ways to improve the figures articulation. We think you'll be happy with what we have planned.

3. It will be a reworking of the green Hulk that has already been released.

Is it possible to go back and do previous movie characters in this scale like movie Blade, movie Punisher: War Zone, and movie Daredevil as well as the favorites like movie Spiderman and movie Fantastic Four just to name a few?
While we are always looking at ways to expand our character selection, we feel that the line is best served by a focus on the comic universe and it's characters...for now.

Will the number of figures per wave increase as the toy line becomes more of a success?
See you at SDCC!!

2. It has already been stated that the MU line will focus solely on the comic book characters, but it is known that Marvel will be releasing several high-profile films in the coming years. Are there any lines being planned for these upcoming films in the 3 3/4 scale, similar to XMO:Wolverine and how closely does the MU development team work with the teams in charge of the movie lines? Will we see an expanded selection of characters from these films in their comic book interpretations, again, like with the XMO:Wolverine line (Cyclops, Sabretooth, Deadpool, etc.)?

3. If a character makes an appearance in a movie based line, take Cyclops from the XMO:Wolverine line as an example, then does that mean they are less likely to appear in the actual MU line?
1. See you at SDCC!!
2. It is too early to reveal our plans for 2010 and beyond.
3. Not necessarily.

As far as I know, no one from Hasbro has oficially confirmed what we've heard 2nd or 3rd hand from Jesse Falcon from the conventions over the last couple of weeks. (That being that we're going to see 16-18 protos at SDCC, which will be voted on, and then the top 3 will be paired up with Hasbro's choices to make the next series of 2 packs.) Can we ask for official confirmation? ALSO, are these new 3 packs planned for wide release, or exclusive to someone?

Any chance we can get an official list of the revised/updated figures that have been released so far (and will be released up to wave 5)? There is a Ronin variant that was mentioned during an interview on another site that we didn't know about or expect (as far as I know).

Any updates on Hasbrotoyshop.com shipping outside of the U.S?

Do they have any input on the Nemesis wave at retail, or is it completely in Walmart's hands now? Not to give anyone a hard time, or cause issues at all, but I'm just honestly curious how it happened that Canada recieved the series in Jan/Feb, they've been sighted in Asia recently, but (as of the last Q+A) they're still working on getting them to their customers here in the U.S.?

Are Gigantic Battles staying exclusive to Walmart (assuming that the line continues past the first wave)?

Any word on how Walmart's recently announced decision to reduce the size of their toy departments will affect their plans (will they produce items in ower quantities, will they reduce the number of various items that they will produce)? Do they expect other retailers to make similar reductions?

Thanks in advance.
1. See you at SDCC!!
2. See you at SDCC!!
3. See you at SDCC!!
4. GREAT NEWS!! They do ship outside the U.S.!!
5. The recent launch in the San Diego area was such a success, that the NEMESIS wave is currently available at your local Walmart!!
6. Any future waves depend on sales of the first wave.
7. We have no control over retailers' decisions on which items to carry. While we hope they'll carry the full line, it's in their hands. Tell your local retailer what you want to see!!

2.Is there any way they can somehow change something in a character when throwing them in a two pack or box set? Like maybe a different head or costume maybe. Theres tons of those.

So far really good job Hasbro keep it up.
1. In the interest of providing as many different versions of the characters as possible, we will try to avoid having the same character in the same costume in multiple lines.
2. Thanks for your interest!

will the secret wars hulk be a new mold or a repaint? this would be a good spot for you to start more artist specific versions with a herb trimpe or sal buscema-style headsculpt!

any news on unmasked options for heroes or villains? you know this would be your only chance to get something out with the patented osborne hairstyle!
1. The Secret Wars figures will feature the artwork of Bob Layton!!
2. See you at SDCC!! We think you'll be pleased!
3. This is something we're looking into , but there are no immediate plans.

2. About roughly how many female figures can we expect still to come this year? How many male?
3. Are the giant battles packs going to use repainted other line bodies, if so, which uses what?
4. Okay, I'm sneaking a character one in, will we see the likes of X-23, Nova Modern armor, or Darkhawk? 3 characters highly sought after and overlooked for years? Or the academy X or hellions crew?
5. Since it's been revealed that one of the last fan poll figures is male, is the other female?

That's about all I can think of I'm curious about since SDCC will answer so much anyway.
1. We are looking at a way to add bases/stands to the line.
2. See you at SDCC!!
3.(SEE IMAGES AROUND THE NET)
4. Those are some of our favorites as well. Stay tuned!!
5. SEE YOU AT SDCC!! (NOT REALLY THOUGH!!)

** Partially based on answers we got from SDCC and previous Q+A's, with just a pinch of my opinions, and a dab of ambiguity. Just for funsies.

I'd like to ask them if they would consider putting the MJ Watson sculpt into the SMC 3.75 line slated for 2010 instead of MU proper, thus leaving a spot for real action figure (i.e. super-hero) to take her spot. She doesn't need the extra articulation, card art, Fury file, price point, etc that come with MU. Other supporting characters like JJJ, Gwen, Peter, could appear in subsequent SMC3.75 as needed.

Also, I'd like to ask when we get our next round of answers

While I tend to agree, the fan poll was for MU. So she'll end up going there so the fans don't feel like they were jilted on the poll.

Cause 6 figures from the poll in MU and one in spidey, would mean we didn't really get 7 poll figures in MU. Though they could just do the next highest votes to fill her slot left open. =D (More characters always a plus lol)
