Meh... I think “vintage” I think Pride of the X-men cartoon costumes. Would love a set based on that cartoon.

Especially toad in his jester costume.

Dazzler is a maybe, with Windego Nightcrawler... build my own set.

My only complaint is SS coming with two standard blades. Would have loved the big fiery he originally came with. Other than that this is the most solid ML line to date for me

The biggest disappointments are wolverine and the saddest one is ice man no extra open hands
And the base he comes with is a different ice color but every other figure looks great

Storm is a must buy, Dazzler, Iceman, and Silver Samurai are most likelys, Cyclops is a maybe, while Wolverine is the dud. God I really hope I don't have to get an entire case.

Okay, now that we have Jim Lee Storm out the way, can they finally give us First Appearance Storm?

With the exception of Storm all of the other X-Men have been produced or have been announced, right?

Up on Hasbro Pulse with free shipping for those who got the free premium membership when the site launched.

I don't usually collect the Retro Vintage, but I need that Jim Lee storm. Strange she's not getting a standard legends release.

Well those didn't take long to go up for preorder.

I preordered Storm (along with Nightcrawler and Mr Sinister) from Pulse just a few minutes ago. I do wish Pulse would save my credit card info so I didn't have to put it in every time, but oh well.

I have to say, I love that Hasbro is selling the figures individually on their site so I don't have to worry about paying for an entire case right away. I can order the figures at my discretion. Though, with Storm, Nightcrawler, Sinister, the Hulk/Wolverine pack coming out over the summer, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to afford to finish the Caliban, Wendigo, and Vintage waves until late Fall. Hopefully they'll still be around by then.

Wow, that Storm is the stand-out figure for me! Love the long, flowing locks! She'll be an instant purchase!

Also, love the look of all of these figures on the classic cardbacks! Really hope this wave sells, so we can get a second series for next year!

Just need an updated Jean Grey!

I’m sure Hasbro are trying to bankrupt us all in August.

The Iceman & Silver Samurai look cool. Storm looks good but, I wonder how that cape will hold up over time. It looks like Cyclops' optic blasts aren't removeable so that's a pass for me. I never liked the Disco Dazzler. And that Woverine is hideous! I'm saying that as a longtime Wolverine fan.

Dazzler is an absolute must (my first post here was back in the fall asking for that exact design when people were doing wishlists). Iceman and Storm look good. Not thrilled that Cyclops doesn't have a no-effects head, but I had the original 90s Toy Biz version of that, so nostalgia buy. Never really cared about Silver Samurai, and I'd rather have the early 90s generic X-Men blue & yellow Wolverine than that.

Hopefully Amazon gets these up soon so I can get free shipping and not have to buy Samurai and Wolverine.

^ Cyke not having a normal head is so dumb IMO... who wants to display him with just those weird lazer edge things coming out the sides of his goggles... unless you can take them off somehow.

And I wonder if they will re-release a black or silver-ish 90's Storm in a regular wave.

I understand the madipoor wolverine as it goes with silver samurai. As much as I love wolverine I would have rather had another X villain or Longshot to go along with dazzler, but again I understand with it being a vintage wave homage.

I actually think for the sake of being vintage, they should have saved Weapon X from the Caliban wave for this release, since that is the Wolverine figure I remember most hanging on store pegs. And maybe released a Spiral for the villain in this wave putting SS and Wolverine into two-pack.

Oh well, either way I'm preordering them all.

i noticed some people were saying that he should match the slide with the blue color but in the cartoon he was more white than blue?

Jim Lee Storm is an instabuy - with her we finally have the core 90's animated series team complete (unless they want to give us Morph as well )! Just waiting for Magneto from the 3 pack, the Juggernaut/Colossus 2 pack and Mr Sinister to ship as well and we will have nearly all the major characters from the show!

I don't recognize that Wolverine, I thought it was the AOA version but it's not, is it from the comics?

I wish they would give us a new Spiral fig, I never managed to get the old one from the Red Hulk wave - hopefully they will at some point!

Yes, that wolverine is when he was “ hiding out “ in Madipoor, he didn’t wear his recognizable uniform so went with a black costume and eye mask when popping his claws and is secret identity was Patch where in which he had his eye patch ( extra head came with motorcycle Wolvie) and a fedora type hat in Civilian cloths.
