Definitely in n out. Lolitas tacos is good and close to the convention center. As I recall, its by the outside parking lot in petco park. I ate there last year after the con. Carne asada fries never tasted sooooo good after lugging around a bag of stuff with two sentinels in there.

Lucha Libre is a better mexican food place off washington st. lolitas is good too but lucha libre is bomb.

Royal indian is also good. I would also add to your list phil's bbq in point loma.

Geez. I lived there for almost 4 years and have no food to recommend.

I think I've only been to In-N-Out on that list. I'm not a big fan of the So-Cal Fish Taco though...

Only other places I like are chains we don't have in New Mexico:

* Dick's Last Resort
* Cheesecake Factory
* Spaghetti Factory

Up until I wrote this, I didn't realize two of them had 'Factory' in the name.

Thanks fellas. Speaking of which, I want to pick up a lucha libre mask. So when does the schedule go up for the con?

The website is starting to post it.
Welcome to Comic-Con International :: Up Next...Comic-Con 2012 - July 12-15

They have wednesday and thursday's schedule up. Preview night wed looks like the only agenda posted is just some series pilots for 5 new shows, 666 park avenue, arrow, the following, revolution and cult. Its in ballroom 20 starting at 6 and ending at 9:45. I didn't see what time the floor opens though.

I'm not too keen on seeing these pilots so I think I'm going to the hasbro line.

So did we decide on what night we are doing the pub crawl meetup? Friday or sat night?

Ugh. This is the part I hate.

Which panel do I want to miss the least? WORST.

I'd love to see the Revolution pilot, but like every SDCC decision, Hasbro exclusives win over something else I'd like to do too.

Not sure about the crawl, wanted to see when iFanboy.com and ComicVine.com are throwing their parties. Apparently Wikia (the company I'm going for) will have a party too, though I still don't know when or where...

If nothing else, San Diego has some great restaurants
My wife and I went from nothing but comics and toys one year, to nothing but panels, to nothing but meet & greets, LOL.
This year will be my 6th Con. I know it has been about a lot more than comics for a while now but it's just not the sort of thing she is into really. She is mostly going our of curiosity and to give me flak lol. I'm sure she will be a good sport about it and I'm hoping one or two panels will interest her.

My list will probably be a lot longer than your since Canada has like nothing as far as decent eating goes so even Del Taco, El Portal, and Chipotle are greatly missed.

I would suggest you add the BBQ house in Ocean Beach to your list. It's a bit of a dive but the food is great. The Barbecue House of Ocean Beach- San Diego Barbecue, Bar-B-Que, BBQ....

Filippi's is good too and they have one downtown in little Italy.

Lucha Libre is great, but if you are up for a little longer drive, go to Pacific Beach, and get Taco Surf Taco Shop. It's probably the best greasy spoon Mexican joint in the country.

In and Out couldn't be more overrated. I think people just dig it because they get sucked into the hype of the "secret menu" and crap. IMO, Five Guys burgers is at least twice as good. I'd actually rather go to Fatburger as well. We also have a local chain up here called Dick*s, and it's far superior.

But Taco Surf is the biggest "MUST EAT" joint in San Diego for me. I also had Indian at a place in Gaslamp last year that was KILLER, right down the street from SDCC, but I forget the name of it.

Slow your roll. I haven't been on here much the last few days as Family was in town over the weekend and I've been getting ready for my trip (leaving in an hour) so I just saw your post. I would have told you that I am going to make a run at the line on Thursday and if I can get one for you I would. Anyway...

Come on, Five Guys is an In-N-Out clone at twice the price. The burgers are good but they aint that good. In-N-Out is much better value and far better than any of the other fast chain options like McDonald's or Wendy's.

So it's almost game time. Who else is braving the Hasbro line with me Wednesday night? I think that should be A VERSION of an Arker meetup. I know some of you guys aren't coming down till later in the week. I just want to get my plastic crack Wednesday night so I don't have to deal with hours of lines juggled with panels I want to attend.

I do, I do! I'm planning on making my wife stand in line with me too, but we'll see about that. Turns out her sister is coming after all.

SH0CK, I'm sorry, I started to respond, and stopped. The main problem is we don't know how many of each item we'll be allowed to buy, and I wouldn't want to commit to a friend without knowing my own capabilities.

The TRU exclusive is probably fine, as is the Doom Subscription one (if they offer it), but the Hasbro ones are really still up in the air. If they only allow one each per customer (like they did with a few items last year), it screws up the whole plan.

Needless to say, I definitely do want to meet up with everyone, and especially you while we're all out there. It's too much of an opportunity to pass up!

Petey, I'm hearing 4-6 per person. I think they limited it at previous events (I was a victim of that, btw) because a bunch of people maxed out in the morning and they didn't have much stock left in the afternoon. Plus they need to have stock Thu-Sat.
Soooooooooooo....you're buying the Helicarrier and selling me Maria Hill for $9.99, yes? Retail price of a 3.75" fig? *ducks as pete throws rubbish at computer screen* LOL. I kid, bro. I wish I could line up with y'all but I'm gonna be pulled away with promo stuff and volunteering on Thursday (I don't have preview night tix, wahwah).

Again, no need to explain. I can imagine its a slight pain in the ass to be committed to wait in line to get something for someone you have never seen face to face in your life. I see the logic.

In closing, I wasn't expecting a guarantee, just an opportunity.

Shockwave: Even though we can't committ to the buy for you, we'll try to accommodate you as best we can. I'm going to try to pick up some extras, if I can, for you and other arkers. I just didn't want to committ and fall short if I can't pick up extras. You'll be one of the first to know if I do as well as others on here. The opportunity is here and we'll try our best. So you coming down on friday?

So whats the roll call? I'll start this off. Please fill in the days your going to be there if you want to meet up with some ultra cool people who collect toys and geek out with.
