$130 seems a little steep to me but I'm definitely going to get this. I mean if you assume $10 for each of the four figures that leaves about $50 for the rancor and $40 for the Jabba right? Seems like something closer to $100 would be more reasonable.

Is that Jabba a new sculpt? I can't tell from these pics if it is the same one released a few years back that was a Walmart exclusive.

Can't be 100% sure, but it looks like the same as the previous release.

I have no idea why Luke comes with his lightsaber, instead of the bone or that blaster.

Lets be honest, anyone who buys this is only in it for the Rancor. The other figures are there to justify the high price tag. I'm glad I don't collect this stuff anymore.

This is an easy pass. I have the Wal Mart Jabba sitting on my desk and I like the paint a whole lot better. Looks more classic. The new TRU one pictured looks more green and orange like he did in the Prequels. The Wal Mart one looks like he did in Jedi. The Luke looks to be the "Deleted Scene" vintage figure from a few years back. Can't tell if Leia is the "Deleted Scene" vintage figure or the one from the Build a droid series that had the alternate sitting legs. 3PO, I hate when they do not make him metallic. And the Gamorrean Guard looks to be the same as the Vintage one. I also do not like how dark the rancor looks. I will keep the more brown one from a few years ago.

I just joined this forum so I could comment on this thread... lol

I must admit I am hell excited about this set. If you look at the Jabba, you will notice that it is a drastic change from he Walmart Throne version. This Jabba looks exactly like the 6" Star Wars Black Jabba... Like they took that one and shrunk it down to the 3 3/4 scale.
If you ask me, if this is indeed the case, this could possibly be (OK, let's just say it, this WILL be) the best 3 3/4 version of Jabba ever made!
I have been waiting for the quintessential 3 3/4 scale Jabba the Hutt forever... I will pay whatever it will take to get one of these bad boys.

I do agree that the Rancor is much, MUCH too dark! I don't like that at all either. This looks to be a simple repack of the Target exclusive from years ago.
That Jabba is way more accurate though... sculpt wise anyway.

A little more information on this set was shared on jediinsider.com. Here's the info.
2015 SDCC/TRU Exclusive 3.75" Star Wars The Black Series Jabba's Rancor Pit Details - Daily Star Wars News, Reviews & Discussions Source
The Jabba does indeed appear to be an entirely new sculpt (Just like the 6" Black version). Everything else seems to be simple repacks.
