that's what you get when everything isn't a cgi mess. by that logic you're bored by most of the main characters in all of the films. the heart wants what the heart wants. Last edited by Dragasses; 07-03-2016 at 06:17 AM.. |

Pffft, rubbery headed monsters will always outshine old bums wrapped up in toilet paper as far as I'm concerned!
Not bored so much as I don't care about more figures of them. Luke & Ben, etc., are not that visually interesting and I'm not a completist. Bring da muthafukkin Zuckuss. |

I like Dengar...he always seemed to me like a worn down, badass, bruiser type.

I would love to get both of these. Kylo's face still just seems off though. Each time I've seen it on a Hasbro mold, it reminds me of Gene Simmons. It's no big deal though, we all know several maskless iterations of the character are bound to come out.
We haven't even gotten to scarred Kylo yet! |

I guess the worn down aspect is what detracts him to me, he's too worn down even among the other worn down characters. If you only consider the movies, which a lot of people did even before Disney's canon-wipe, Dengar only appears as this grizzled guy wrapped in bandages. The original EU had to step in and make him cool from scratch. It does feel inevitable that he will wind up getting a 6" figure though.

Well, Bossk was always cool with just his several seconds of screen time. People love that bastard. And let's not forget Boba Fett, the Boba Fett of the SW Universe. If he didn't look cool, he'd be the least deserving character of all time... But at least he was so cool looking he deserved a 12" figure and his own vehicle back in the day.
I feel like the reason Boba Fett had so much merchandise planned even prior to the film's release was because of his original concepts wherein he played a drastically larger role of being the supreme trooper and Vader's right hand guy. Just going off of ESB he's a respectable character. Ignoring his looks which are the big reason for his popularity he has some presence in the film. During the hunter meeting Vader seems to specifically address Fett about no disintegrations, he is the only hunter who manages to track the Falcon (and somehow gets to Bespin ahead of them with the Imperials to set a trap), he frequently second-guesses or questions Vader's decisions and Vader doesn't just stare him into a corner, and then he successfully evades/scares Luke off before getting away with Han. So even without the cool armor he had some level of accomplishment. Of course then in RotJ Lucas decided that every single villain needed to go out like a punk.

Personally, I think it's absolutely criminal that we haven't seen a Grand Moff Tarkin in this line yet.

After I got the Hux figure I've had pretty much the exact same thought. Tarkin was the main Imperial villain of the original film, he was the one who actually ordered the destruction of Alderaan, and he was portrayed by Peter Cushing. As an added bonus a Tarkin figure could come with the Imperial interrogation droid as an accessory (Dr. Ball!).

It is weird that he gets so little attention in general. Even though he was the main villain of the first movie, it seems like pop culture never has felt the same way.

Ren's box art looks better than the actor, IMO.
Anybody know when we should expect Sabine and Revan to surface? |

I'm hoping they get solicited after or during SDCC because the wait is getting ridiculous. They were fully shown back during Toy Fair in February and the last new figures (Ahsoka, Luka, and Kanan) came out a couple of months ago now, though in my area distribution has turned to crap. I'm still going to be really mad if Revan is made only one per case because as is I already fear scalpers are going to go after him, if he's at least two per case then it should make things much better than if he were single-packed. I also want the Snowtrooper they showed.
