Well guys someone posted an advance listing with a picture that doesn't show that they own it. Since it wasn't a pic that showed the seller actually owned it I wonder what do you guys think of these kind of sellers? My cousin was once ripped off by one of these guys

Well, the listing clearly says pre-order, and that he'll refund if he doesn't get it. And looking at his feedback history, he's not lying. Last year's feedback is all positive.

I'd say do your homework when taking anyone up on a pre-order offer. Obviously he won't have a picture showing he owns it. It won't be available until next Thursday.

But keep in mind that Hasbro SDCC exclusives are always available on Hasbro Toy Shop after the convention. I would advise refreshing constantly starting on the last day.

Last year's Galactus was not available online at HTS. Believe me, I sat there refreshing the page every few seconds and it, along with Sgt. Slaughter, was never made available. Hasbro said very limited quantities were made available but I don't believe that. I have never talked to anybody who scored that off the HTS site. All the other exclusives were, though. You just have to be quick and then continue to check every once in a while because they will update stock.

But I want that SDCC Sentinel on the card and don't want to take any chances so I pre-ordered mine from someone who is attending the con. Last year I lucked out and a friend of mine bought the Galactus on card and sold him to me for barely over cost. No such luck this year, but at least I know I'll get the carded version with the good colors.

I know people who got it off the website. It was just that there were very few. I heard something like only 50. I managed to get one in my cart, but didn't make it to checkout.

I'm hoping since there aren't any other MU exclusives and the Sentinel is an army builder, there are many, many more available than Galactus.

Well, to be fair, that was the first carded Galactus since the 199-something Silver Surfer line.

And that was a pretty good carded Galactus, though.

That Surfer cartoon was awesome, by the way.

Er...I think you're rcalling with rose-colored glasses is the word "awesome" in any way applies to the Surfer cartoon.

Really, youtube an episode or three- find anything with Pip or Drax.

I'll wait.

Back? Yes, that burning in your face is the shame of having your childhood torn asunder.

That's how I (re)discovered Avengers: EMH this week. Take away the fact it airs on Disney(?) and get past that horrible intro song and it's a good show. Damn good show.

Personally if the item is an auction/buy it now for a preorder item , and preorder refering to an action figure that hasn't hit retail shelves, comic-con or mass market yet. I would personally seek other venues on pre-orders such as BBTS or other sites, due to $$ security, reputation, and the likely hood of getting your $$ back if the item gets sold out or i arrives to you damaged. Buying from ebay can be rough, and people do get stung everyday on shotty items, poor sellers, and overall stupidity.A company has a reputation and a bank account in the 7 figures to back it up if something should happen, 1 ebay seller isn't the same. In any event be causious of what you buy ,from who, from where and as to when * I remember seeing a scam last year when the galactus MU figure was on preorder some guy was guaranteeing the item arrived shipped a month before CC rolled out, which was ludacris, .. but unaware bidders paid double and ended up getting nothing. It pays to wait and find retail or at very least in stock, but some items it's a gamble worth taking I guess.

Wait until you see the re-cut intro with the spoken dialogue. Ugh.
