Boy these look awful. Granted, the design aesthetic of the new show is the reason for that. I kinda came around on the character designs for the Nickelodeon CGI show, but this is another big step backwards. I get this is more inline with the newer live action movies, but these bother me on a visual level, big time.

Don’t think these mesh with the new movies either. Donny and Raph have a hint of influence from the movies, but no more than bumblebee of RiD is influenced by the Bayverse... just looks to be the modern hyper-adhd design of cartoons these days.

I don't know what's more ridiculous, the look of these figures or the fact they're asking $30 a piece.

Oh wow. No. This can not happen to TMNT. This toy line & cartoon will kill TMNT.

Nah... it'll be fine. People said the same thing about Transformers: Animated. Transformers survived. 90's Spider-Man cartoon fans said the same thing about Spectacular Spider-Man at first.

Turtles will survive this. No, it's not to my liking, but that's fine. I'm a 40yr old man. If a six year old loves it and wants toys, then it's serving it's purpose. I'll stick to my graphic novels and the 90's movie, and Out of the Shadows movie (which I like more than Secret of the ooze).

I chuckled hard at those figures on how terrible they look. Them i saw the price and stopped laughing. Playmates have low standards for their tmnt fans as they think anything tmnt will sell. They're in for a shock for this line of garbage.

This is sadcc exclusive...yes SADcc.

Poor Ralph, does he have hydrocephalus in the show?
Maybe they should call this Dawn of the Turtles...

He's a mutated alligator snapping turtle in the new show. Those have pretty big noggins.
iirc, Donny is a softshell, Leo is a red-ear slider, and Mike is a painted

Same way Batman survived Joel Schumacher, Starwars survived George Lucas' prequels, X-Men survived Ratner and Origins:Wolverine, and humanity survived the dark ages. This might last 1 season and get a reboot, or it might last 5 years. Looking back on it, the 80's turtles cartoon was HORRID. Absolutely gut-pukingly atrocious after the first season.

The "best" cartoon so far has been the 2003 reboot, even that has it's issues (Utrom Shredder... wtf?).

I guess we have to wait through this storm until it's over and then wait a few years until something good comes out again. I really wish they kept the Classics line going.

The Figuarts look good, and they have shown Shredder is in the works, and probably others as well. Figuarts seems to be doing EVERYTHING under the sun.

I was saving up $$ for the Figuarts tmnt until Neca announced the toons box set, and went that route for 8 figures instead of 4 last year.

30 bucks each is 120, the neca exclusive set for this year is 125, look at the difference in quality. Heck the bootleg of the mirage neca are around 50 bucks. And those are way better than this.

My 10 year old daughter is a TMNT nut, and even she hates these designs.

The only person that's liked these designs is Pixel Dan, but he likes anything Playmates sends him.

The owner of Super 7 even called him out on it, during a NYCC interview when he kept calling him "my friend"

I hope they do an April and Casey SHF, the turtles turned out well and their Shredder (whenever that comes out) looks great. I'm super happy with the NECA SDCC 2017 toon 8 pack as well, and I would be stoked if NECA did another toon pack with Splinter, Casey, April, maybe Usagi and Ace Duck or some other random characters.

I can't stand his reviews. The fake voice he uses and how he almost always likes the free stuff he's given lol. He knows who's butt to kiss. Though, his fanboys are saying the Raphael he reviewed is awesome lol, wtf.

I'd love to see that interview with Super 7. lol.

The Figuarts Shredder has been put on an indefinite hold for the time being. He might never see the light of day.

The selfie stick is a dead giveaway for which demographic they're going after.

Between this and Thundercats Roar, collectors can be assured a few years of break from all the 80s nostalgia.
