Ok so...

* Wave 13 released with one running change.
* Gigantic Battles released
* Giant Sized X-Men and Variant
* Captain America Waves 1 & 2
* Thor stuck in neutral
* 4 sets of comic 2-packs

So what's next? Continuance of the Cap line? summer release of Wave 14? Eventual release of team 3-packs, eventual Sentinel?

It seemed like in the last month there had been an absolute explosion and activity on this board like I had never seen before. (It should be MarvelArk as the poor other lines get ZERO love lol). But now, I guess things have cooled down a bit. Now it seems like "catch-up" time rather than "new stuff" time?

Ideas? Thoughts? Knowledge of whats on the horizon?

The next half of the year is really going to be great. The next two MU waves look to be spectacular. SDCC is 4 months away. More Captain America figures, (I hope). There are several revision cases coming out that are going to be great, (I may finally be able to get my Flame On Human Torch without paying the insane ebay prices). So in all the last half of 2011 looks to be a great year for collectors.

Agreed, the next couple MU waves look tight. Hopefully a roll out of the Luke Cage and Black Widow variants, and they keep the Cap line solid ala IM2.

My wallet is hoping that the next releases are not as good as the recent releases.

4 months....? It's July 21st to 24th I believe.

Yeah at this point, we go off of what we know, and we look to what will be shown at SDCC here shortly

Correct. I'm hoping for more than the Sentinel? BUT...one thing at a time. I think I can echo the sentiment of many others when I say give our wallets a goddamn break!

I am both excited about and dreading wave 14. It will be pure awesomeness to finally own figures of Doctor Strange, Falcon, and Scarlet Spider. A single pack Doom is actually fairly interesting too. Skaar is a little more meh for me.

The dread for wave 14 comes from the fact that 3 out of 5 of the figures already have variants! Good grief. The variant situation is quickly heading into overload for me. We don't need a variant for almost every figure! When it gives us the opportunity for another character (like Mrs Marvel/Moonstone) then I'm all for it. But just changing the name on the stand or repositioning the figure in the package is getting to be a bit much (and this is coming from a guy who has been a completest with MU and has all of the variants so far).

I'm only aware of the dr strange variant. What are the other variants, real variants where the figure is different from the original? I'm excluding scarlet spider being packaged upside down.

What is the Cage variant?

BBTS also lists Thor wave 2 figures for July- by "case" with all 3 Warriors Three, Destroyer and helmeted Thor! Sif's case should be out arond there as well.

Dr. Strange has the clear variant, Scarlet Spider has the upside down variant which also has a different base that says "Spider Man" instead of "Scarlet Spider", and Skaar has the base variant that says "Son of Hulk" instead of "Skaar".

I was all for being a completest with MU, but if they keep it up with the silly base variants and packaging variants then I may have to rethink that.

There will be a variant for the X-23 figure? That's great, if true.

I cant wait to see a comparison pic of the BAF Sentinel next to the Masterworks Sentinel. I'm hoping that the BAF Sentinel isnt that much better than I think it will be next to the MU Sentinel.

I'm thinking it will the next few waves and revision cases we already know about, plus the Thor and Cap lines will probably continue through the summer into fall.

Then whatever else Hasbro announces at SDCC will carry us through until Toy Fair next year. But we've got about 6 more weeks before SDCC attempts to assassinate our wallets (again).

In the meantime, my wallet will be dodging enough bullets from Botcon this weekend.

First release had a black tee, off-white beanie cap and gold neck chain. The variant has a white tee, black beanie cap and silver neck chain.

No variant for X-23 as yet. Though if there is, I hope it's a maskless version like her comic.

The darkhawk variant is the classic costume. The normal is the modern costume. (Classic = squared-off head, modern = rounded head.)

Right after wave 14. Going to assume October/November?
He is going to be a real asshole to try and find, so I usually don't use BBTS, but I most def going to pre-order that wave.
