Hah, I bet we end up paying for that. They are going to blame rising prices on oil and stuff, but really it's those rising licensing costs. Just my opinion of course.

Not as much , as they could, considering that for marvel legends are doing only Movie toys, although luckily including some comic figures like for captain america redskull and baron zemo
So if you want that one comic figure i.e my one i thought would be nice like penance or even dead pool We won't get unless they're in a movie but there might be hope if you look at the movie toys like captain america, where we might see 1 or 2 comic toys un related to the film like baron zemo *huge deep sigh* when will they learn that comic figures are more important than movie ones

Hasbro, how about some news on that Star Trek licensing? At least let us know how long you won't be using it before another company can do the same...

I'm just pleased ML and MU...erm...I mean A will continue the trend of new exciting characters to collect and hopefully they'll scale back on the frequency of some people....looking at Stark, Parker, and Logan in a distant third.

However, since A is mostly A, and after that X is mostly X, can the Spiderman line get some high quality figures? just a couple cause I know kids dont give 2 shits about articulation. Like that awesome Lizard and Venom we got from the Spider-man line before Amazing went into theaters

I pretty much agree with you. We've seen the trend already in the recent 6" IM line with Iron Monger, at least 2 non-movie IM suits, and Ultron. Definitely some hope to get comic stuff in the movie lines.

That Wolvy line is all comic as well. I don't think any of those guys are going to be in the movie the way the figures are depicted.

Agreed, I'm already irritated that I'll never get my hands on FFDoom, Red DP nor Punisher. & it's seriously getting tired of passing the toy isle for no reason.

Yeah I have finally decided to just pass up hunting for anything if I am at a store I will look but I am just goign to the internet now it's not worth it really.

Those Marvel figures hardly ever change it's liek they get in new cases of the same waves over and over.

Guess this puts the final nail in the coffin of any "Marvel/Disney isn't happy with Hasbro" rumors.

I can't wait until they finally pass that point when they cross that fine line they've toed for years and realize they're finally charging too much for their figures.

That's not really the problem (even ignoring the fact that retailers set prices, not Hasbro, who only suggests them).

The problem is that they cannot maintain the level of quality collectors have become accustomed to (articulation, paint, accessories, etc...) while still maintaining a pricepoint that keeps their profit margins either steady or growing, and being a for-profit business in a business environment where any dip in profits is seen as hugely negative for your company, profit-margins will win that contest every time.

Hasbro's first duty is to its' shareholders, then the retailers that buy their stuff (their direct customers), and then to the end consumer (us), and that last group is a VERY distant third.
