Thats exactly what you should do. I find that a couple expensive-but-spectacular figures a year is far more satisfying than dozens of inexpensive crappy figures. Plus, it saves shelf space!

Those prices are outrageous; yes they're very well done, but these characters are very relatively simple in terms of complexity and intricacy. There's not enough there to justify the cost.
