I pretty much agree with you. We've seen the trend already in the recent 6" IM line with Iron Monger, at least 2 non-movie IM suits, and Ultron. Definitely some hope to get comic stuff in the movie...

They've done a similar thing in the Marvel...

They've done a similar thing in the Marvel Avengers Alliance game where it encompasses all the MU, not just Avengers. I'm also not a fan of this approach, btw.
