I hid a DCUC Kyle Rayner at my local K Mart. It's still there after 1 week and three day's. I dont know why I hid it because I dont collect DC stuff? I think I did it because I'm tired of jobless scalper's that are able to get to a store when it first open's.

By the way did you post in the right thread?

Gotta love internet tough guys

@Colder Soldier and Luckydube.

Lets keep all internet based threats and tough talk down to PMs eh. Its extremely discouraging coming into this forum to see this kind of crap.

Back on topic:

Sometimes patience isn't the greatest thing. As I posted somewhere else on the boards, I passed on a GSXM 6PK for 31 bucks [variant]. I was hoping to trade but from what I have been told, mail in Canada is coming to a halt due to strike. In other words, if you see something for a good deal, get it, don't always be patient :P

Uh, are you saying that people that trade figures with people from different states are scalpers? I probably misunderstood that. Sorry if I did.

And yeah, hiding stuff you're not even gonna buy hurts collectors as much as scalpers.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that a scalper is someone who really doesn't enjoy collecting figures and only buys them for monetary gain. Someone who see's a peg full of Cables then proceeds to buy every single one of them not just one or two to put them all on ebay for 25 dollars a piece vs the original price.

Now someone who know's where a figure is that someone else is looking for and hasn't had any luck and is kind enough to go out of their way to pick up said figure for said person is the complete opposite of a scalper that is someone going out of their way for no monetary gain whatsoever except for maybe shipping and handling or maybe a figure they themselves can't find.

BTW IF ANYONE CAN FIND ME A CABLE (with or without baby hope IDC) I'D BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL. Wave 13 has yet to even show up in my area just like the Thanos wave...

Sorry guys. With work, school, ex-girlfriend and all types of the other, I have been a little on edge lately. Didn't mean to scare you.

That's what sets me apart from other interweb tough guys; I'm totally honest about everything! It would've been easier just to tell 'em "I'm a black guy", but that would just be going too far.

Sorry for calling you a d-bag, Lucky.

You gotta admit though, you're your own worst enemy. The collecting game is getting to you! U hid a GL so scalpers couldn't get it! 10 minutes earlier the DCUC fan hid all the MU's for the exact same reason! C'mon.

Patience, persistence, and networking is definitely the key.

It doesn't matter how much patience and persistence I have if the stores refuse to stock.

The only TRU in my area is 20 minutes away, in the next city. I live in a huge city myself that unfortunately closed the doors to all of its TRUs years ago.

In between everyone from this city, whether its scalpers, collectors and regular shoppers, and everyone in the next city, there is zero chance of having finding anything at this TRU unless you hit it at opening.

Two trips have amounted to seeing the same Marvel Universe figures - Bucky, Silver Surfer, Iron Man.. the usual shelfwarmers. Nothing but Secret Wars two packs. No Giant Size X-Men. No DCUC at all. They had G.I Joe but someone already cherry picked it to grab Low Light and Firefly.

The Wal-Mart near me doesn't stock MU. Not one figure. Target has had empty pegs for months except two Union Jacks.

Wave 13 has been an absolute nightmare to find, due to Hasbro Toy Shop and BBTS not stocking Cable and Cyclops individually. I have never seen even remnants of Wave 13 in the wild. I'm just lucky some members at TFW have really helped me out and I finally got a Cable / Cyclops yesterday.

I thank my lucky stars Scarlet Spider and Dr. Strange are already preordered.

Sorry that this turned into a rant but damn I hate my area. I love Marvel Universe, but damn if this isn't the most frustrating line to collect... just like the Toy Biz Marvel figures.

i hear you, out of 2 kmarts and 3 walmarts in my area only 1 walmart is selling marvel universe (but at that one walmart i found cyclops) none sell the comic packs. i get the patience part of the game, sometimes i have to wait 6 months for a certain figure, but for most of my collection my wife has found on grocerys trips to walmart and latelty i have been preordering on bbts or hasbro.com.

bbts has come down on price of some of the single marvel uni. figures, and seem to be continune to do so compared to the last couple of years, when some figures where $20.00 each. so just have patience guys (except for cable, he looks badass)

Looking for a phasing Vision or Ms. Marvel/Moonstone variant if anyone can help!!

Also, I've recently been lucky on Moon Knight, Warpath variant, Havok, Sunfire, and Archangel. Wish there was a Banshee and Beast to help round out the "new" X-Men. Polaris and Mimic, where are you? Hanging out with original feathered Angel, no doubt.

Never seen a variant Warpath in the wild. Ever. Will that day ever come ? Who fucking knows. I LUCKILY landed Thanos, mid-day in a target months back. Made my week. Right now all I give a shit about is finding Hopeless Cable and upcoming MU waves/exclusives.

But otherwise I tend to agree. I went looking for DOTM toys, and the GL guardians packs and bam, there was taskmaster deadpool on the shelf next to a repackaged one some douche returned that had XMO Deadpool and spider-man instead. =/ But hey, at least they still had the normal one at the time too.
DUDE! A week ago I saw one and a Red Hulk and figured "everyone already has that" and passed it up!
Went back today and it was gone. Red Hulk was still there though.

You know what we need- an "I need this" thread where we list what we still dont have and try to hook each other up.
If I see another Thanos, he's yours!

It's not a bad idea about making a thread like that but isnt that what the wanted and sightings sections are for? The sightings thread here on toyark is not used as much as I think it should be like the tfw2005 sections are.
