I think the most frustrating thing is walking into the store, knowing they have restocked because the evidence is on the shelves, and finding all the figures from the wave you know that your "elusive" figure is from and NEVER finding that particular figure, over, and over, and over. Drives me nuts.

The other thing that is just completely wrong, and I witnessed it for the first time ever at my Walmart in Ocoee -- found a GI Joe POC Cobra Commander hanging on a peg and the actual figure had been replaced by some cheap knock-off figure (not even another joe).

Anyway, still searching, still hoping...

Death Variant is great and yes, you can swap the wings. That's why I wanted it. It's cool.

My local Walmart gets waves 9 and 10 all the time and the occasional wave 8 and 12. I've never seen Captain Marvel in the wild, even having witnessed on many occasions the wave 12 left overs like Modular IM and Spidey 2099. Capt Marvel is far from being a must have but I just need to have him.

I've come across several instances where some douche bag returned a scam:
- a Red Skull (Cap line) fig replaced with some crummy Joe
- a Cap Deluxe fig with only the head replaced with the head from Spidey (from the Sentry GB 2pack)
- Target 2pack IM/Black Panther with BP replaced with some other unknown fig.
- and many DCUC figs missing the C&C parts (prominently the Arkillo wave)

To the person/people who do these crimes and you know who you are, if you're reading this, you're total scum you maggots!!!

Just unbelievable that people can sink so low and do this sort of thing.

My Crimson Dynamo broke right out of the package. Sadly, I got him for a Zellers [Canadian Target] and I wasn't going to drive all the way back down island to return it. Months later, I decide to do this: I went to my local Walmart, bought a Crimson Dynamo. It was perfect, he is actually one of my favorites. Returned the broken one to Walmart, get money back, get the figure I deserved the first time.

Sorry

I saw a X-Men team pack with Storm replaced with a SW Storm. I took it to the guest services to try to explain this one wasn't right and they lady told me no, it's right. Companies have these types of differences all the time, .........

I think your case is different...and that is ok imo. It's possible you got a dud in the first place, not your fault. The next guy who buys your fig that you returned to Walmart and finds the thing broken has a reason to get a full refund. Walmart will not repackage the item for resale since its broken and it may go back to the mfg...hence no harm done, only a bit of inconvenience for all involved.

Cases where people return products with something completely different is basic theft. I don't know, but to me, when that scammed fig makes it way back to the peg, in it's clear plastic packaging for all to view...it's just totally insulting.

Lol, it's late, i'm pooched, probably overly sensitive now haha...

It's not gonna end up on the peg, damaged goods get set aside and returned to the vendor for credit. That's what I was told when I had to return lots of broken Tron Legacy toys when I was grabbing all of those... so even then, Walmart isn't hurt, because they still get their money back.

You know, that's funny, I was on Vancouver Island a while back and I was looking for Iron Man figures and picked up a Crimson Dynamo. During the ferry ride back, I was eating a bag of Sour Patch Kids and decided to check out my purchase. I was a bit surpised at how easily the blistered was removed. Usually, it took some work. As a collector who unboxes 20 to 30 figures in one sitting, you begin notice these things like second nature.

I felt a hint of nausea that I brushed off as a minor case of sea sickness from the rocking of the ferry ride. I knew better, though. I knew what was coming but I was still horrified as it fell apart as soon as I took it out of the package. Anton Vanko was lying in pieces at my trembling feet. Clutching the torn remains of the Iron Man 2 package in my hands, my skin bled as the crinkled plastic blister began to cut in. I made a vow that one day, I would return to the rock to seek vengeance upon the savages who'd conspired to ruin the exhilarating toy opening experience that could've been...

Nah, what probably happened was they threw it out and wrote it off. LOL.

Correct, only if he brought it back in broken form and explained to them that it was broke out of the box to get the refund, Walmart obviously wouldn't put it back on the peg for resale.

Alternatively, he could have put the fig back into the packaging in a presentable form to get a no-hassle straight refund and in this case Walmart would put it back on the peg. I'd definitely chose this method over the first since I hate having to explain to the customer service as they never understand.

Whatever the case...

I was going to say the same thing about must have been a kid. Have seen spiderman missing a few times from that comic pack and I was thinking to myself, damn and I need that sentry, maybe I can her the pack for 5 bucks now but never bothered asking anyone as dealing with people at Walmart can be like pulling teeth at times. Good thing he arrived yesterday after waiting a while on him.

Yeh I bet it was a kid/young teen, as I've seen the comic 2 pack a few times and wanted it purely for sentry cept I can't justify the $18 purely on him, f-that and I don't need another spidey figure, atleast not the 1 that comes with him.

This is proof that even in theft, the masses buy into the Spider-mans, Iron Mans and Wolverines.
