Awesome. I never collected this line, but I admired the hell out of them as a kid. These aren't my poison, scale-wise, but they look great and I hope the KS does exceedingly well!

...can't wait to see the mounts.

Awesome idea. I collected these when younger and almost had them all. I regret selling them...

I find the 1:18 scale too small for this line however. 6-7 inch scale would've work to the Sectaurs advantage best.

Nice, I always wondered if anyone was going to bring this back. I had Dargon as a kid for one birthday but never got anyone else in the line...IIRC, the set with the figure and companion was expensive at the time so it wouldn't have been something I would be able to buy on my own.
Also, I find it funny that they're coming back at a smaller scale since they are insects after all. I wonder if they're going to try to incorporate the glove gimmick for the companions.

I had one of the figure and insect sets as a kid. They were fantastic toys. I'm very curious to see more.

I admire Sectors line and I'm quite intrigued by this new KS project, though the style of these new figures look too realistic and boring (looks like any other KS action figure>_>). I'd love to see Stellara and new insect gloves to fit our adult hands, lol! Though I will probably need smaller ones. If they do those toys I've mentioned and have reasonable shipping price I will back this KS.

P.S. ZICA Toys only have one successfull Kickstarter, so I am cool with backing them.

6in would be awesome- but this line NEEDS bugs to ride and a 6in scale Spider/Flea/Scorpion/Etc. would probably kill it like Raid. At 1:18 they can actually get some decent critters going for them to ride without breaking the bank

This used to be one of the most visually interesting toy lines back in it's day with the colors of the mounts, the irredesent wings and such. When I was 8 years old, I got to own the insect leader and the arachnid leader with their mounts and had such a blast with them.

Sadly being a kid they got trashed due to extreme play. XD

But maaaaaaaaaaaan I had so much fun with them.

The crossplay factor of puppeting and playing with an action figure was awesome.

Anyway, so glad they are coming back. I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hope they make the mounts too and that they still have the puppet feature.

I am totally giving as much as possible to the kickstarter and wish it huge success.

Why are all these toys 4" now, I never had these when I was a kid but wanted them, so I might check this out. Toy Ark should now have a link to active Kick-Starter campaigns, there are so many, now and I don't wanna forget them. The independent toy scene is really taking off

They're 1/18th-scale to increase the chances of ZICA being able to produce the giant bug mounts and the Hyve playset in the future.

So if they do one reveal each month does that mean the Kickstarter will begin at the end of the year

3.75" is the perfect size to accommodate the bug/vehicle accessories that will surely be included as rewards.

This is such good news, this was my favorite toy line as a kid, had every piece from the line, including the massive Hive, which I'm trying to find an affordable one atm.

Does anyone know when the kickstarter starts?

This exactly. I want a line of 6-7 inch science fantasy figures.

As for mounts, I prefer hand puppets, and for that 4 inch is too small.

I suppose it's entirely possible that they could design the companions with swapability between the gloves and a plastic bottom portion.

I agree that 1:18 scale is too small now a days being an adult and the plastic sculpts being much much smaller & thinner plus using shittier plastic vrs the original Gijoe plastic is whats making the joints much looser is no fun with small figures. If they could make tight jointed 1:18 / 3.75" then that be nice but they'd have to start using plastic that's solid and not that buttery swirly shit that Hasbro and (mostly) ever other company in America is using now a days.

8 inch scale is what these should be imo and I don't believe that 6 inch scale insects would "break the bank" if they had a larger company make them. I was hoping a bigger company would get this license. Sigh

I was born in 77 so I definitely played with Dargon and Sectaurs plenty, but I don't remember the gloves. Can you explain thanks

About the look they do look good though buy I'll hold out for a larger scale line of them.

The bottom legs of the insect companions was basically a glove you put on and the insect and rider would be on top of your hand and you basically simulate the legs of the insect with your fingers. It was a cool concept. I think some of those guys came with smaller insects too so that might be why you don't remember it.
