They're probably showing off prototypes for feedback and gauging interest.

Price isn't too bad for the figures. It's a bummer that there's no insects for them to ride though. Hopefully if the Kickstarters for these do well, then the bugs can come later.

My thoughts exactly. These should've at least come with their respective smaller buggers/companions.

Still, I hope the campaign will do well enough to generate interest back in this line. Sectaurs were awesome, both toys and comics.

No airbrush coloring like the older toyline and they look bland and lifeless (and like any other KS actione figure line). They are just boring realistic toys that try to capture the charm of good fantasy playline, FAIL. Where's the creativity?! Why they don't look like TOYS but rather like some bad live action actors?!

I'd be all in if they were 1:12. I use to love my old Sectaurs. But, no thanks.

Same here.

I could collect the 1:18 (4-inch) scale figures but to get the first two from the Kickstarter it would cost me $71 CAD. That's simply too much for my wallet even as nice as these are.

If this campaign succeeds, then I'm going to need an Antony figure from the first Ant-man movie.

That would be excellent! I also wonder if the shift to smaller scale was so they could get a more "realistic" scale of riders to mounts with adult hands in the puppet, or so they could size the gloves to kids' hands. Having to get your parents to join your play as the bigger insects would be a great play feature.

That would be amazing. If only. Might be a great custom idea!

Backed but really interested to see some bad-ass insect mounts. Why else do 1/18? They should have been ready to add at least one puppet insect to this KS.

Zica doesn't sound like they have any real interest in doing the insects. Said if they do them, it won't be until all of the figures come out. Here's a reponse they posted on Kickstarter:

Quote:
Assuming the line is a success, the larger mount insects won't be in the development stage until all 10 figures that have been shown so far. Maybe finding a stand in until that time would be a good idea

I want to army-build Zak. I’ve always thought that he’d work perfectly as a generic/standard Shining Realm soldier.

Some of us just prefer that scale.

I was close to talking myself into backing this, then that Star Wars HasLab Sail Barge thing was announced.

We are so close with only $110 away from funding.

Not to mention that there are now two troop builder sets (Royal Guard and Skull Soldier) as stretch goals if we can make it to $50,000 by next week!

I completely forgot that the Shining Realm soldiers looked like that in the comic.

As of this posting we are just $8,736 away from the troop builder stretch goals. If you have any interest in Sectaurs, or just want to support a fellow 3 3/4" line, please contribute.
