Might be a bad placeholder because it's not been legally approved yet? Hopefully, when it's approved we'll get the real deal?

I don't get why they can do Toby's head so well but not Andrew's. It looks like he smelled a Spider-Fart and was thinking about webbing his nostrils.

I presume it's just a render and not the actual face since the likeness is under review.

Looks much more like a painted resin copy than a render.

It seemsn 30 percent of the time, the dot Matrix looks bad.

I remember Toy Biz, their actors face sculpts were almost always on point and that was 20 years ago or so now.

HAHAHAH..no they were not. Far from it. What magic line are you referring to? Just curious.

Always believed Andrew would have had the harder face to render. Tobey always had a more youthful boyish face. But I think SHF did a decent enough job. Gripe though being probaby not neutral enough of an expression for either and for Andrew, the challenging hair sculpt and paint has alot to be desired. Spiderman suits, though not perfect are good.
What has me thinking is if SHF has the interest/resources to have a version 2.0 (with improvements) with more youthful facesculpts? (These releases are after all for the recent No Way Home movie).

This is not great news. Got the other 2 on preorder to make the dynamic trio. I really wonder if all US toys sites will actually inform their customer base or try to make the bait and switch. Hasbro never announced if their 3 pack would come with their unmasked version even though I cancelled that preorder. I am going to have to rethink if I want to keep the now non-masked Andrew S.H.Figuarts. The alure was the unmasked portrait. Bandai has made way to many Spider-Man figures as of late.

Boy the great news keeps on coming. I guess the hopes for hasbro are about dead now. To the custom route we go.

Damn. Well, maybe the old Walmart ASM ML unmasked head will fit on it? It has a small peg hole so that may work with Figuarts

I'm speculating, but it may just be that they didn't secure Garfield's likeness rights. My assumption had been that Marvel secured rights for the actors who came back for No Way Home, but this suggests they may not have. There are other examples in older franchises where actors don't participate in merchandising, like Yvonne Craig's estate for Batman '66's Batgirl, and Crispin Glover and Lea Thompson for Back to the Future.

If the question then is why didn't Garfield approve, or why didn't Bandai move forward, it may be about the licensing cost. There's a Hot Toys figure coming, and they haven't backtracked yet, but maybe it's easier for them to cover the cost.

No worries here! Everyone that is interested in
Andrew Garfield Head Sculpt:
now that it has been cancelled, I think
Flashback Manipple will do one, once Figure is out.

You can then try this Site:
VCTOYSBOX – Action Figures, HeadSculpts, Toys and More

They offer all the Manipple Head Sculpts.

lol, yea, it wasn't the most flattering rendition. Then again, do actors have a say after they sign off at the start?

Does this mean people can sue Bandai for false advertising since they were buying the figure with the expectation they were getting the unmasked head? That's quite bullshit.
