Got an email this morning from S7. They say they will be announcing new licenses. Check out the section I highlighted in their image. You can see the edge of a very distinct wing in the top of the highlighted area. One of the new licenses is SILVERHAWKS! STOKED!

If they are producing figures I hope to God they aren't ReAction or built on the MOTUC buck.

Yeah, they've been selling Silverhawks merch on their site already so Ultimates and/or reaction figures was inevitable.

And they're absolutely going to be on classics bucks, that's the whole point of the ultimates line anyway was continuing to produce figures with the classics aesthetic without the Motu license. If anything the Silverhawks themselves might be on the slimmer bucks that S7 are using for some of their wrestling figures.

This news is pretty intriguing, without a doubt. I wonder if they are trying to secure Tigersharks as well. It wouldn't surprise me. They should go for the Rankin/Bass anthropomorphic trifecta...

T-shirts, pins and cups are one thing. But, the first new Silverhawks figures since the original line? That's pretty big and quite surprising (if it is indeed what they announce). Not all of the "Ultimates" use the old MOTUC buck. Look at TMNT and (as you pointed out) the new wrestling figures. There would have to be new tooling for Silverhawks. Super7 wouldn't just paint up an old buck silver and call it a day. That makes ZERO sense. So unless you have some insider knowledge it's a stretch to just assume they would use the MOTUC buck.

I guess we'll see, I can envision it going either way haha.I know with the Motu movie figures and movie & comic Conan figures, they were on the classics buck when they should've been on a updated buck. Also, I'm thinking they would want some consistency with the Thundercats figures as well. But yeah, they need to be sleek not buffed out warriors.

Not really an issue when it comes to the villains though, I would think just about all of them would require unique tooling. And I know I'm getting ahead of myself but, since it looks like they're making a Thundertank, I would lose my shit if they made a Sky-Runner.

LOL yeah we're getting ahead of ourselves but, it's fun to speculate! Wonder how they will handle the wings? That could make or break them for me.

The preview shows Thudercats (seem to be teasing a Thundertank recently), Power Rangers (probably ReAction), Silverhawks (Ultimates and/or ReAction), Godzilla 1954 (possibly ReAction and/or art vinyl figures), Star Trek: TNG (probably ReAction), and one other one I haven't made out yet.

I'm real curious of they'll be doing vac-metal bodies on these figures since it notoriously hinders a lot of articulation. It can work on Reaction figures, but for Ultimates it might be an issue. Has Flynn or anyone with Super 7 commented on this yet?

You gotta know that vac metal or metallic silver paint will be used to keep the fabs happy. Also Mon-star was the coolest villain and awesomest toy! I really hope they can keep the gimmick transformation but alas I doubt thats possible. Mattel could though if they ever got the license. I'm guessing swapping parts with S7.

Looking forward to seeing these even if I skip the line. I'll try to though. I'm still kinda bummed I didn't pick up Mumra mummy & Panthro from s7 last year to finish my as of then full line. Especially now Cheetara Tigra & Mumm-Ra are being released!

I will finally have MONSTAR in my collection. Super Hyped!!!!! I loved him and Mumm-Ra so much. I don't care about the rest, I'm a Villian fan.

God, I hope not. I want 2 figures for each of his forms. The vintage figure was a nice figure for its time (still have mine actually) but that transformation gimmick was terrible. Both forms are great designs and wouldn't want them limited in anyway by that either.

Hope there's a killer Mon-star in the line. Never got into the toys, but if they nail the designs; I'll grab two or three.

Woah, my childhood right there ! I will have to get a few of those, just for memories sake. I was so small when this came on TV as reruns, that I never even understood whether the show had an overarching story lol. But, I still loved it.
