Why Yoshi? Bowser is far more important.

I'm ok with them filling the line with some smaller figures to start off with, assuming that they even want to do a larger figure like Bowser. Though, I'd probably prefer a Toad or even Peach before Yoshi.

The riding pose is awkward. The only thing worse would be putting Revoltech Woody in that same pose.
Did they really minimize the leg articulation for that? If stability's an issue, add a flight stand and charge more. With Jakks making a 6" Yoshi that will probably be more like a large accessory for Mario to ride on, Figuarts really should have concentrated on the figure itself. Do the eyes move? Or are they just unpainted in the tongue demonstration picture? |

I love the Mario characters and I'm glad they're finally getting the super-articulated Japanese figure treatment, but I wish the articulation didn't have to be so damn ugly.

I like the Mario a lot. But I think the Yoshi is a bit of a miss. While it looks decent enough, the riding pose is awkward at best. Would have preferred they had a leg replacement for Mario and Luigi that was just static or attached to an interchangeable Yoshi saddle to look better.
