I don't like how his claws shoot out from between his knuckles. If you look at the comic book, they come out from the back of his hand. It just looks off to me.

I bet Hugh Jackman wants one. Maybe his mom too.

Are they doing all the characters, or is this just one random one they decided to do?

Did they ever do him in the brown jacket and dog tags? Seems like THAT would be the one to do if you were to do one...

True but movie Wolvie has the claws pop out from between his knuckles so this is movie accurate.

In case you hadn't noticed... the movies AREN'T the comicbook. Sorry, but that's always been a weak argument. The movie design makes more sense, too, from a weapon standpoint. In order for comicbook wolverine to pop his claws, his wrists must be turned inward in an unnatural position, so the claws can slide from the forearms, between the wrist bones, and out the channels in the back of the hand. Also unrealistically, is the size of the claws to be able to pass thru the channels. Some artists choose to draw the claws as conical stabbing weapons, others draw them as miniature samurai swords. Either way, structurally, sitting atop the back of the hand is a weak mounting for weapons used with as much force as Wolvie uses them.

Movie wolverine evades all that by making the claws slide out thru the thickest parts of the hand, and "lock" into the middle of the fist. The unsheathing of the claws from forearm to the knuckles is far smoother and more logical than the comic version.

Many artists have adopted the knuckle claws lately.

Did you seriously just argue this point? I don't care how realistic it looks. We're talking about a fictional movie based on a comic book. If I've spent years reading the comics and seeing his claws come out a certain way, I'd like the movies to stay at least somewhat true to the original look.

Yes, because I'm right. it was "at least somewhat true to the original look" because the claws are in his hands, not popping out of his butt. Film makers ADAPT the property. Stuff on the 2D comics page does NOT translate to a 3 dimensional live-action set well. It has to work for ALL AUDIENCES, not just wanker-fanboys. In the comics, batman runs around in a leotard with black underoos on top, punching people... movies he wears kevlar armor. In the Transformers cartoon, several characters turn from 50ft tall robots to handheld objects ... in the movie, there is no mass-displacement.

Anyhoo, 90% of people have no problem with the way hollywood has treated the comics-to-film. 15 to 20 years ago, the best we could get was "Batman & Robin". Those few "hardcore" geeks out there who are still pissy, well, just keep reading your comics, or watch the cartoons. Nothing will honestly satisfy you anyway, so why should Hollywood even bother? Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was PERFECT. Sadly, that perfection came at the expense of developing the other X-Men characters, particularly Cyclops.

Better than Katana blades coming out of your wrists...

Cooler coming out of the knuckles anyways.
