I've been working on making some kick ass bases for my MU figures,II was helping my mom clean out her basement 1 day, and I came across these 3 ceramic heavy coasters with a soft rubber cushion bottom, and all white minus some hotel's logo on them, spray painted them black, and I've only started on 1 of them so far, no real contreat ideas for the other 2 yet.
I've broken down small skeletons I got at an art store, glued them in place to surround it and make a wall of defense at the front. I used 2 sword and 2 spears from lego in the front, metal spiked ball from kill bill enemy up front, used sprokets, lock washers for shrapnel effect, small pieces of broken wood and hot glue to cover the bones to be a source of blood and guts.
I used Testor's bright red to color the glue and give it a real blood effect. I have 1 plastic beam I added for someone to perch on will be drybushed effect along with plastic sprockets to look like lost metal. My other 2 bases are a mystey yet. I have an extra Galactus Baf head/top piece I may use and sculpt wire and guts from where his hands would lock on to surround the base.. Not sure yet though.. here's some pics
