Hey all, I decided to custom some figures a while back and have been looking for a decent place to show them off. Couldn't seem to find many places actually.
Anywho, I really like the Marvel Universe line, and I think they lend themselves to customizing easily with being able to switch out parts with GIJoes or Star Wars or what not.
First up is Havok. I didn't care for the bare black costume so I gave him those gauntlets and boots that he had for all of about five issues a few years back. I always thought they were neat, with this being my favorite of his costumes besides his Mutant X look.
Used the gauntlets and legs from a G.I. Joe Wraith I believe was his name.
Next was Nightcrawler. Really wanted a good NC figure, and I got one with the 80's two pack. But I wanted a more modern costume. This is him circa about 2005-7. No additional pieces.
Last but not least is Xorn, made (in)famous from Grant Morrison's New X-Men. That run got me back into X-Men comics and Xorn was one of my favorite of his additions. Definetly the most work.
Used a G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra (I think) Cobra Commander as the base. I filled in gaps on his helmet, switched arms with a Rise of Cobra Paris Snake Eyes, and used the jacket from some figure from an old G.I. Joe 3-pack. Don't remember his name. Lotta work and frustrating, but worth it I think.
I have a few planned for when schools out, or sooner. X-Men Second Coming inspired me to make a bunch, including Hope Summers, Bastion, Future Nimrod Sentinel, and "Final" Bastion.
