Here are my picks:
Captain America - Secret Wars version
I was planning on making the new comic version as my main Cap, but I decided to retain the SW version. I find the new one too short, and I don't like the headsculpt that much.
Green Goblin - definitely the ML Showdown version. If you're only counting Hasbro figs, then the one from the 2-pack boxset.
Iceman - I like the XMO version better.. transluscent plastic.. ooohh.
Too small though, but yeah, I like it better than the 3pack.
Winter Soldier - the new one from the Cap line. Definitely.
Spiderman - again, the ML Showdown. For Hasbro, I think the best one is the SDCC movie version although its a little short. The upcoming one with the Cap Britain two-pack looks promising though, given the thigh swivels (better articulation).
Bucky Cap - the new one from the Cap line.. as long as you find one with good paint.
Iron Man - Stark have a lot of iconic armors so it really depends on what kind of Iron Man era you want to represent. My favorites are: Bleeding Edge, Extremis, and the rest of the comic armors from the IM2 line. I don't like the earlier MU IM figs.
Wolverine - the ones from the XMO line. The previous MU ones are too big. Good thing that Hasbro is reusing the Astonishing mold from the XMO line for the newer MU figs. The Wolverine from my Xforce box set is already sporting it! Yay!
Thor - ML Showdown version for classic look. For Modern version, I prefer the colors of the 2-pack figure with IM.
