Distribution definitely varies from place to place but it's my understanding DCUC has been pretty tough to find for a lot of people. Certainly has been here! I've only recently seen them on even a semi-regular basis. I didn't fail to find any ML stuff last year at all however. I absolutely understand though that it's always different from place to place. I'm sure you've seen the "haha this toy is a shelf warmer" tales out there...in regards to figures you've hardly ever come across! Happens often.
Was the line initially 9.99? I know I've only seen them for 10.99 and 11.88. Not really cheaper than MLs aside from the Fin Fang Foom wave. Red Hulk wave wasn't meant to be as expensive as it was, I think that was a Target screw up that got fixed eventually. I know that means nothing to someone having to buy them online though
Don't get me wrong though. I definitely, definitely don't want to start up an argument as to which line is better. That's been done to death elsewhere. I just think they're a little more on par (when everything is weighed) than some let on. There's good and bad with both, you know? However, I totally agree that the sculpts of this line are great, and they really are damn good toys, you know, if you can find em (at all) with good quality control
I love collecting them, it's just been a headache! As I said, bittersweet.
Back on the specific topic of wave 6, I've only seen Recovery Supes and Dr. Impossible since my initial find. It's for the best though, I've totally run into a wall financially so I'm putting collecting these on hold for a while. I'm actually selling my loose Collect and Connect pieces on eBay, figuring I might not find the rest of the toys at retail anyway, or really be able to afford them if I do
