I find it a mix of good and bad... the distrubution of the old ML figures was a lot better then the newer stuff we see such as the 2pack figures.. never seen any of that come my way, and I would of bought it all had it come to my shops. I was lucky enough to have a comic store order me the iron man/maria hill 2pack which is awesome. But personally I'd rather have the figure have amazingly sculpted hands that have individual moving fingers and digits, versus 2-4 sets of hands. just my preference.. The older figures came with more accessories and had the baf which was a huge part of the line's success factor... buy 8 awesome toys and get 1 giant ass awesome toy. Some collectors only bought the individual figures to get the baf and others only wanted 2-3 but got them all for the baf, while the rest bought them 1 at a time and they grew on us so we bought more. I've found a few somewhat local collectors who are selling they're ML collections 1 lady has like 10 MOC figures only 2-3 I don't have which I'd open but the rest I'd sell and 1 of them is a Juggarnaut figure! She only wants $125 for the lot plus $35 shipping, but there's also magneto, omega red, etc.. sometimes you can find items nobody has 2 sweet clues what it's worth and resell for double tripple or more what you paid for it. Curious Tarquinius what Rare or just in general figures are you refering to that you can find? I started collecting ML very late in the game and don't have a ton so I'd love to find more for a decent price.. pm me.
