I don't know if anyone else around here has ever dabbled in resin kits or Nagano's
phenomenal
Five Star Stories manga, but hearing that Wave will be producing an injection plastic version of the LED Mirage V3 Inferno Napalm (do you think that name is long enough?
) is one of the biggest bits of news (for me) all year.
Prior to now, this design was only available as a
ridiculously
expensive ($500+) resin model kit, and while this version will be smaller, at 1/144 scale vs. 1/100 it'll still eat up a few feet of shelf space.
So pretty. It's not even up for discussion whether or not I'll be getting this when it comes out.
Of course, this just reminds me that I still have to build my Volks 1/100 LED V3 (non inferno) that's been gathering dust for the last seven years...

(Yes, the V3 Led Mirage is supposed to have a semi-clear carapace, which is why the Wave 1/144 LM kits come molded in a milky, shiny, translucent plastic. It looks REALLY nice.)
