In retrospect, modern versions of Iron Man, Rogers, and Thor were obvious picks given that Marvel now focuses on them as some sort of Avengers "trinity" or "big three." (Truth be told, that's not entirely unfounded...the Hulk barely counts and Ant-Man/Wasp don't have a huge fan base.)
Hope...meh. I gave up following the X-Men a while ago. It's like a mini-universe inside the larger Marvel Universe. I just couldn't keep track of it all. The only mutants I pay any mind to are those that happen to be Avengers.
Ghost Rider...given that there's a new
Ghost Rider
movie due next year, the timing seems off. Then again, Marvel is introducing a new GR series.
As far as villains go, Klaw is a good choice. Not a great choice, though. I'm more interested in the Hood, the Wrecker, Detroit Steel, or Sin. (A Crossbones reissue would also be ridiculously welcome, but that's probably never going to happen.)
Ooh, or while we're dreaming, an
Iron Man 2
-inspired Whiplash would be great. Heck, they could probably design it so that Whiplash Mark I could fit inside armor to become Whiplash Mark II.
Constrictor is an odd choice, given that he hasn't been seen since
Siege
and his hero/villain affiliation is sorta murky. I'd rather they capitalized on the recent movies as well as
Iron Man: Armored Adventures
and
The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
- Enchantress, Executioner, Arnim Zola, Grey Gargoyle, Graviton, Grim Reaper, Ulik, Blizzard, the Ghost, Madame Masque,
armored Mandarin
, etc.
Terrax is a good choice. Once I finally get a head for my Annihilus, so much the better. Then we need Thanos (unless you count Marvel Select, which I don't), Drax...yeah, here I go dreaming again.
