Well...I'll be damned! I knew I'd seen that Sentinel design before!
It's the Sentinel Squad O.N.E. manned Sentinel design!
Sorta a Gundam Sentinel piloted by SHIELD agents and led by Jim Rhodes- making the Sentinels manned prevented the XMen from destroying them (as it could kill the pilots and the pilots were tasked with protecting the mutants at Xavier's school (while confining them to the campus).
