Yeah - how many different Thors does a kid need - especially after having a few previously within MU itself (Modern, Comic Pack, SDCC, Android)? And what the movie line worse was that different Thors didn't look that different! And the deluxe Thor figures were essentially the same with some packed in attachment that made no sense in terms of a character who wields a hammer, not a gun!
Green Lantern failed at the box office, and thus failed as a toy - and even worse, the toys weren't that good. Green Lantern, like Mr. Fantastic, Plastic Man, and others, is cool because of what he can do creatively with his ring (others with their bodies). A toy can make four or five attachments to show a big gun the ring could make or an airplane or giant hammer, but what if the kid wants to make an ice bridge (sorry, that's the wonder twins - but you get the idea). Worse, though, is that Green Lantern isn't a kid favorite. The Corps characters look creepy. The villain looked really creepy. It was just not a great line.
