G.I. Joe Resolute
, a cartoon finally aimed at older audiences. A cartoon that fans look forward to, impatiently awaiting any tidbit of news. A series that already has toys on shelves, comic packs even, with all new stories, yet no cartoon on-air.
As evidenced by our poll last week, most fans are looking forward to this series, more than the live-action movie. No one ever thought we would ever get a
G.I. Joe
cartoon aimed at us, but the SDCC trailer proved us wrong. A mature G.I. Joe cartoon wasn't impossible after all....or was it?
What everyone is worried about, is
G.I. Joe Resolute
being dumbed down for a younger audience. No one misses the lasers that couldn't kill a thing, campy plots that were easily transparent once you became older and looked back, and trained armies waging war yet not really waging war(come on, everyone lived!).
So 'Tankers, how would you feel if
G.I. Joe Resolute
became little more than
Sigma 6
in
RAH
inspired uniforms? What if no one actually died, what if Warren Ellis, Dos Santos and crew were held back from their full potential on this series, just to reshape what
Resolute
could have been, just for the kids?
Surely in your eyes, there is enough for the kids isn't there? Adults and children alike will feast their eyes this summer with
Rise of Cobra
. The old Sunbow and DiC cartoons, as well as
Sigma 6
, were aimed at kids. What
G.I. Joe
cartoon was ever aimed at us?
G.I. Joe Resolute
The Poll Of the Week(POW) is this:
Would You Accept G.I. Joe Resolute If It Was Dumbed Down?
