I used to have a program playing in the background while I surf too, then I realized that was a little excessive. You have your internet time, she has her gaming time and then everyone is happy. Listen to your iPod or open another window while you are on the boards if you need you audible sense stimulated. When you are done with us nerds, go watch TV with your lady together. "Alone" time is fulfilled as well as quality time.
