I put a lot of effort into collecting these guys but I have never hidden a figure in hopes to retrieve it or them at some later date. However, I do look a bit to see if anythings been hidden sometimes. But I know that some people who do this are crazy about it. Hiding things they already have thinking maybe they'll want another one later only to forget about it. My cousin use to do this crap all the time. He got busted once trying to hide some MOTU figs in the clothing section.
But really Do Boy..? Left your wallet at home or in the car... Would the car be in the Toys R Us parking lot. If so, couldn't you get it somewhat easily?
And why do people leave their wallets at home? I never leave my wallet at home. Shouldn't forgetting your wallet be your problem and not the guy who comes in behind you.
I say it's reasonable to hide if it's a chance encounter, or they had a lot of stuff and you only had so much cash on hand that you go home but come back that day to grab it up.
I've done this exactly twice... one of those times was just about three weeks ago when I stopped a TRU on my lunch break, walked up to cashier, and realized I left my wallet in my desk at work. I went back the very next day and got the figure I stashed. Forgetting my wallet was my problem,.. so I fixed it.
