I've ran into this a lot as of late. We're pregnant. First kid on the way.
I feel like having a room full of at minimum $1000 in just MU is selfish, even though no one has told me that's the case. So I imagine dumping it all off to "grow up".
But at the same time, if my dad turned over a super sweet collection of anything to me now, I'd do some crazy celebration dancing!
So it makes me think it's worth holding onto something that was this valuable to me (not monetarily, but just as a passion) in case the kid shares my love for Marvel in any form. And heck, come 4 years old they may just inherit the entire thing to play with as they wish because seeing them happy with toys outweighs my hobby. (minus sdcc and super rare stuff I can't replace easily of course :P But that'd just be until they were older.. because we all know how we played with toys when we were 5! lol)
This is something that's been heavily burdening my conscious as of late, but in the end, I still think they sit where they are instead of sell.
I won't get nearly as much $ as they bring me (and hopefully my kid(s)) happiness.
