, and have to keep them, otherwise they must have just ordered way too many to re-cooperate their initial investment through clearance.
I think the plan was for there to be Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America product all on shelves at the same time as a sort of "Pre-Avengers" promotion sort of thing.
The problem is, all three lines have been lackluster in terms of lingering pegwarmers, which leads me to believe that the Avengers line is going to flop as well (People will buy Hawkeye, Black Widow, Maybe Hulk, and the villains, but Thor, Cap, and Iron Man are probably going to pegwarm HARD (everyone who wanted them already has multiple versions). After that, I wouldn't be surprised if further Marvel films don't even get toylines (unless the economy picks WAY back up).
I'm seriously beginning to wonder if between the IM2 line and the Marvel Universe line, Hasbro has succeeded in pushing Iron Man into being an unprofitable character at retail....
