Yes, this is the new Masterpiece. He is awesome! It depends on what you're looking for in a Prime. If you want a giant Prime with lots of diecast, then the older Masterpiece is for you. If you want cartoon accuracy and lots of articulation, then the newer Masterpiece is for you. The new Masterpiece stands taller than Masterpiece Starscream, but shorter than the original MP Prime. The new one only has Diecast in some major back joints and the feet. But the cartoon accuracy in both robot and vehicle mode is so cool it makes up for lack of diecast. The matrix which is removable is all diecast. The new Prime is an engineering marvel.

I got them from HLJ. Prime cost me 17,600 yen, which converted to about $230 + shipping, and the SDF-1 cost me 27,880 yen, which was about $360. Definitely the most money I've spent in one single order. But so freaking worth it. I woke up this morning with a stupid grin on my face. Christmas came early.
Since you're all liking the Prime, here are some more pics:
"One day, an Autobot shall rise from our ranks, and use the power of the matrix to light our darkest hour... Until that day, till all are one..."
