They will only stock what fits, but if it looks like some are missing then a collector probably nabbed the ones they wanted or.. worse case.. the employees did set them aside. I worked at target and set aside a freakin Wii for myself the day they came out, so I know how that can be. :P

I've usually used the courtesy phone or taken a figure to the electronics desk to see if they had any in the back. So far, out of 5 Targets only one had one figure in the back, an Ultron.

That's pretty good, considering you'll pay 8.99 a lot of times at retail, and add sales tax to that. Still not a great deal though. I have to wonder what the actual cost is though. Plus, there's a lot less surprise and hunting involved. Did you find that getting waves this way was more or less satisfying than searching for them in stores?
