That's not how the figures are ordered, though. They don't go through and cherry pick which comic packs they're going to buy. They say "Hey, this line is selling well, we're going to keep buying more cases." At best you could argue that small shops might be swayed by names, but frankly, they don't amount to squat next to the major retailers. And the major retailers could care less whose name is on the package, as long as the line has been selling well. (Barring some outliers like "Hellboy", for instance)
At no point in the production process is "faking out the merchants" a consideration in naming.
