Marvel Universe
Best- Dr. Strange. Wrist swivels? Eff yeah. Very poseable, great sculpt, nice details. Only gripe is that the cape flops around a lot.
Runner up- Bleeding Edge Iron Man. Love this guy but probably would have taken the best spot if he had wrist swivels like Strange.
Worst- Black Panther (the single pack one). Awkward poseability and it kept falling off my shelf until I got him a figure stand. I'm trying to customize a new one but the head is too big on a lot of the spare bodies I have. Needs a lot of work. I hope they release a better one soon. And no, I don't want the Target 2-pack one.
Runner up- Jean Grey. I knew the figure looked bad yet I bought it anyway. The shoulder pads make her look like she as no neck and the face is just...ugh. And her left hand looks unnatural. Jean deserves better.
Underrated- Taskmaster. He gets a lot of flak but I really like the figure. His sword was a piece of crap though so I gave him Captain Britain's Excalibur.
Runner up- Ultron. He shelfwarms in all of my stores and I don't know why. Maybe 'cause people already have the CP version? (I don't have that one 'cause I didn't want the Mr. Fantastic.) He's a nice figure overall.
Overrated- Apocalypse. He's a pretty decent figure but I was expecting more since he was so desired. Didn't realize he had those tubes on his arms that interfered with poseability until I got him.
Runner up- Warpath. I just don't see the appeal. Plus his hands have trouble holding his knives and he only has one holster.
Captain America
Best - Bucky Cap. Nicely detailed and fits well with my Avengers. Thank goodness I got a better shield to give him.
Runner up- Hydra Soldier. Great army builder even though I don't do this. :P
Worst- Movie Cap. Little hard to pose, hand gun is small, floppy, and requires a lot of work to get into the holster (gave him a handgun from a GI Joe figure instead) and shield was bent after I took him out of the packaging.
Runner up- Heavy Artillery Cap. I mainly got this guy to get his shield for Bucky. Awkward looking face, bad poseability. MU Cap is much stellar.
Underrated- Dark Threat Hydra Soldier. He's big and well-armed. Sure he lacks torso poseability but he's a large armored solider. He's more for power not acrobatics.
Runner up- Winter Soldier. I liked this one way more than the MU one.
Overrated- Red Skull. Didn't see what the appeal was when I got him. I guess most people wanted him 'cause he was a bit rare?
Runner up - Captain Britain. While the shiny paint is nice it was hard to find one with no pink on the white stripes. Plus he looks overly muscular (as in wide) for his size and I feel like he needs to be a lot taller.
Thor
Best- Hogun. Great colors and detail. I love this guy. Plus his extra accessory is pretty decent and isn't as ridiculous as everyone else's.
Runner up- Helmeted Thor. Face looks a lot more like Chris Hemsworth.
Worst- Odin. No spear, silly accessories, and cape causes a lot of problems in display.
Runner up- Fandral. Floppy sword, cape tends to fall off.
Underrated- Volstagg. I like him a lot actually.
Runner up- Loki. Neck looks a bit awkward but I actually like him a bit.
Overrated- Destroyer. When I took him out of the package and played with him a bit I said, "Eh."
Iron Man 2
Best- Ultimate Armor (comic). Has wrist swivels and is pretty accurate.
Runner up- Air Assault Drone. Great detail and looks very nice.
Worst- Classic red and gold armor. He just wasn't that great to me and his joints are loose. Like most of the other IM figs his open palm hand doesn't make a good repulsor blast pose. And he has 2 of them. I would've been cool with at least one fist hand.
Runner up- Crimson Dynamo. Loose leg joints and keeps falling off my shelf.
Underrated- Advanced Armor. Sure he lacks a bicep rotation but I like this figure a lot.
Runner up- Arctic Armor. Same as above.
Overrated- Neoclassic Armor- I actually don't remember why I got him but I do remember that a lot of fans wanted this armor. Upper body's just way too thick and his shoulder pads bug me.
Runner up- Hulkbuster (3.75 inch) Armor. Seemed like a lot of people wanted this guy but I was kind of on the fence. When I did get him I was all..."Eh."
Spider Man
Best- Super Poseable Spider Man. Poseability's great and none of the joints were loose on my figure.
Runner up- Carnage. Pretty good figure. Just wish he had more symbiote weapons.
Worst - Toxic Blast Venom. Poseability is CRAP. Brock Venom deserves better.
Overrated- SS Venom. Don't get me wrong, I like the figure. It's just...maybe he wouldn't be as desirable if he wasn't so damn rare.
I love my taskmaster, but I couldn't pose him until I got a figure stand.
