Hey you wanna take that custom to the next level you need 2 things, 1 is a product called plastidip. Anybody who makes a custom venom or custome tenticles uses this stuff. It's not overally expensive 10-20 range for a decent size container, you basically dip w.e u want into it, let it try and you have a perfectly smooth rubber coating. The cure time can be a lil long ie over night, and the fumes are brutal so best to do it in a well ventalated room or outdoors. The other thing you need is a good clear coat, either spray on or brush on, as why go and ruin your hard work of painting/making him only for someone to grab him and scratch the paint off or fall off a shelf and chips the paint.
Also if you want to attempt sculpting, try picking up sheets of foam, it's like $2 for a 4' sheet and you can get w.e color you want, you can use this to make wrist bands, arm bands, leg wraps, capes mask etc, easier to work with then sculpy clay, less prep time and cheaper, but for true sculpting work you need to go to an apoxy or supersculpy clay.
