MOTU is a different universe, so the plausability of your "fantasy crossover" doesn't even make sense. Let it go, please don't touch my favorite toy line. I like it just the way it is.
Wrong. It bothers me. A LOT. As for why people want them all the same scale, BECAUSE ITS FUN!! And would look super cool when out on display!! Which brings me to plausibility.
Plausibility is irrelevant simply because its dictated by individual taste, you could say Admiral Ackbar flying a Spitfire is implausible but i think it would kick ass....compatibility however is extremely relevant, having toys that can "play" with other toys the same size from different lines can only be a good thing for product sales across all those lines. Most kids dont really care about "lines" or "brands" they want what catches their eye in the store, if bony skeleton head guy fits in Anakin's starfighter then its all good in the eyes of a kid,and lets be honest MoTU+TNAoHM are bursting with AWESOME character designs(especially the villainous creatures!!) that kids would snap up!!! Who wouldnt want a mini Trap-Jaw you can fit in your pocket, take to school for playtime battles etc. A whole generation of kids are missing out on these great characters because:
A)they are internet exclusives.
B)they are waaaaaay too expensive for any kid to just buy.
Mattel could easily run the larger exclusive line for adults, and a smaller line for kids, they would just need to be good quality figures released to coincide with re-runs of the MoTU cartoon on Cartoon network.
Ps loved that idea for the interchangeable line CLASSIFIED!!!
