I have no clue why someone wouldn't provide a tracking number, but you can skip it when selling on eBay. The seller could have marked the item as shipped and never entered tracking.. it's an option.

I sell on eBay sometimes and always enter tracking,.. it benefits the seller more than anything else. If your package doesn't show up, just file a claim,.. since there's no tracking you'll win in a heartbeat.

I bought a Castle Grayskull a couple of weeks ago, which was big and not cheap, and never got tracking.. item arrived though, it doesn't necessarily mean you're getting hosed.
