By the time most of you are reading this, it will officially have been 2012 for a little while, and we here at TFW2005 wanted to take the oportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year! 2011 was a good year for Transformers, with the highest grossing installment of the live action movie series, new assortments of Classics toys, a new cartoon, and the brief revival of Transformers Animated for Botcon 2011.
But looking ahead now, what does 2012 have in store for us? For toys, we've got the new mainline
Transformers Prime
toys due to hit in March, plus the Movie Trilogy line to keep the Movieverse going. For cartoons, February is going to be a good month with all new episodes of
Transformers Prime
and
Transformers Rescue Bots
. Are comics more your thing? Four new Transformers comics launch this year. In January, the new IDW ongoing series
Robots in Disguise
and
More than Meets the Eyes
launch. In July, Simon Furman returns to the continuity that started it all with
Transformers #81
. Last but not least, the online-only
Autocracy
telling the tale of the early days of Cybertron also launches this year. May 2012 is also bringing us the grand opening of
Transformers the Ride
at Universal Studios Hollywood. Last but by no means least, High Moon Studios brings us the much anticipated sequel to Transformers War for Cybertron this year with
Transformers Fall of Cybertron
.
2012 is looking to be a bright year, and from all of us here at TFW2005, we wish you all the best of health, happiness and prosperity for the coming year.
'Til all are One!
