I picked up a Kotobukiya Robocop figure the other day. It's not really well articulated out of the box, but it sure seems like it was made to be customized.
I was able to boil and pop it apart without any problems. I used a Bleeding Edge Iron Man figure to replace the neck and thigh joints along with rocker ankles, then added ball joints to the shoulders and hips and used a 25th CC for elbows, mid-torso and knee joints. I gave him some interchangeable hands using some Revoltech figures I had sitting around. The gun is sculpted to the hand and while I could have removed it, added a grip to it and used a different hand to hold it, I just didnt feel like it. I won't play with him enough to care.
He isn't exactly movie accurate color-wise either, call it artistic license, but I like this scheme better.
I learned a great deal from putting this together and have no doubts I could improve upon it if I decide to do a second one.
"Stay out of trouble."
"Dead or alive, you're coming with me."
He's a bit taller now as well.
