Craveonline has posted an interview with James Roberts, IDW Publishing's wrtier for one of their new ongoing Transformer titles; More Than Meets The Eye. In this very in depth interview Roberts refers to TF:MTMTE as "an unholy hybrid of Dark Star, Justice League International, Doctor Who and Arrested Development. Heck, you can throw in Magnolia and X-Files in there too. And Community, for that matter. Essentially, MTMTE is what happens when a superhero team book collides with a space opera sitcom"
Roberts also goes drops some interesting nuggets of info such as a Dinobot origin story he submitted to IDW, before he began working for the publisher, that almost happened (and maybe one day will!") and after speaking with fellow writer Simon Furman on the upcoming Regeneration One. In which he says Simon hints at a few plans that are up his sleeves that were so good in Roberts' eyes that is blew his mind and made him want to burst into tears, rip up the scripts for the first few issues of MTMTE, roll up his sleeves and think, 'Okay, Furman. Round 2.'

There is loads more information from James Roberts in the interview that any current fan of IDW Transformers or their Last Stand Of The Wreckers series should definitely take a few minutes to thoroughly read the whole thing. You can do so by clicking the link above or the title bar.

Head over to our new Transformers Comics Forum and discuss this and all things Transformers Comics!
