Today,
Rebelscum.com
has a nice look at two figures from the Star Wars: Movie Heroes subline - Queen Amidala & Anakin Skywalker.
Neither has had an update since 1999. Amidala's costume is much more detailed this time around. Save for the ball jointed head and elbows, this figure actually matches the articulation of the original figure, but it's still a pretty good piece. The head sculpt could've used a little more tweeking though. Accessories include her screen accurate ascension gun and grappling hook backpack.
Anakin, once again, leaves me disappointed and that's not just because I am not a fan of the little twerp. The articulation is straight out of 1999, he seems smaller than the average Ani figure and what is with that weird jet-pack? Sorry Hasbro, didn't see anything like that when I watched The Phantom Menace. The helmet is nice and fits well and the head sculpt looks pretty close to Jake Lloyd though, so I suppose it's not all bad.
All in all, nothing amazing from these two. If I had to pick one, I'd stick with Padme, the outfit is detailed and the accessories are screen accurate and, like Rebelscum says, the figure isn't all that bad.
Ah well, to each his own.
Enjoy!
