I go outside in the Florida sunshine, drop the lid on the ground, and arrange the item on it. Set the camera to macro, turn off the flash, and from a standing position, zoom in and take the picture (from several different angles).

I think the zoom works great to cut down on the reflection of yourself in the plastic bubble. Getting the right angle is key too.

Really? Thats pretty awesome man, you definitely fooled me. I totally have always thought that you either had a light box setup or got the pictures online or something. Really wish Bozeman had more sunshine so that I could try your method out here.
