So, when I look into making a figure, I always want to do what hasn't been done. And, as far as I know, this version of Major Victory has never been done in this scale. When I first started customizing I had a short list of figures I absolutely had to make. The first on that list was Gambit as Death. And the second was Major Victory. I could never figure out how to do him, though. But, after picking up Bucky Cap from the Captain America movie line, I spent about 4 months pulling together and trying out various parts before finally pulling him off.
Major Victory is a complete repaint. Bucky Cap was a good base guide since the front of his costume matches up well with Major Victory's design. The hardest part to pull off was putting the stars on his knees. Worse being that the stars were three different colors. So, I outlined the star in black, then painted the top half blue and added the white line down the center. It didn't line up perfectly, but much much better than I expected.
