USA Today
has posted an article about the cast of
G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra
and their visit to the premiere at Andrews Air Force Base today. Some of the cast talked about the movie, stating desires to work on a sequel, and
Channing Tatum
still wants to be a
G.I. Joe
ninja(he originally wanted to play
Snake Eyes
):
Miller, in Isabel Marant, teetered on her studded Chloe booties as a little boy ran up to hug her. The actress, who surprised many with her turn in the action movie, says she's glad to be branching out.
"I wanted to do something that was purely about entertainment. ... I'd love to make another G.I. Joe movie," she said.
Co-star Wayans says he enjoyed injecting comic relief into the high-speed action flick because, "you need the humor to get the girl." As for the stunts? He'd like to leave them to the professionals.
"I tried to do as little of my stunts as possible. I like life; breathing is nice," he said.
Wayans says Tatum was a bit more fearless, claiming he wanted to have stories to tell his grandchildren someday.
Putting his spin on a beloved franchise did leave Tatum a little shaken, however. He recalled playing with his Snake Eyes action figure as a child — "I still want to be a ninja," he admits — and knows that fans will have plenty to say about how their favorite characters are portrayed on the big screen.
"It's one of those things where you get a little nervous," he said.
Luckily for Channing, his
Duke
character will be released later on similar to a ninja as
City Strike Duke
which can be seen as on the thumbnail to the left and with other figures
here
