I finally got my hands on a DX VF-25 Messiah toy by Tamashii a few weeks ago. I was impressed by it, it feels like the 2nd most durable Macross VF toy(the first being the 1/55 VF-1). I was impressed by the gloss finish, durability/sturdiness, painted details, and ease of transformation. With that said, it could be better, hence this thread.
So post your recommendations on how Tamashii/Bandai can make this toy better. There are changes, some even small, that can make this a much better toy. Here are mine:
Thigh swivels. It would aid gerwalk mode articulation immensely.
More range of motion in both directions for the knees. Also aids in gerwalk mode.
More range of motion in the ankles. Note: more articulation that helps the gerwalk mode also helps the battroid mode
Tighter crotch lock connection
More secure connection for hip armor parts.
Better paint sealant, the paint scratches off easily
Longer nose landing gear
Universal movement, detented/ratcheted shoulder joints instead of ball joints. I can see how the shoulder ball joints can loosen over time.
Shoulder articulation that can move more independently of the shoulder block(as in the shoulder armor/guard not moving with the arm itself from side to side).
Fold in gunclip for the gun
Hands and guards molded as one piece
Tighter ball joint connection for the hands, as they are prone to looseness under the weight of the gun.
Unique chest/back sculpts for each variation of the VF-2(RV/F/G/S) like on the model kits, which is more accurate.
Leg armor parts that do not block range of motion for the knees
More range of motion to the front for the thighs aft of intakes.
More ratchets all around
A strong ratchet to keep the waist locked forward after unlocking and separating from beneath the cockpit in battroid mode. This would make things so much easier and secure when posing
