I always wanted to see a miniseries that sort of allowed everything to wrap up completely.
Logically, Zuko and Aang would be increadibly busy trying to rebuild all the bridges the fire nation burned (Figuratively, though with the sense of humor this show has, I could see them opening with them actually building a burnt bridge), which sort of dictates how everything else goes when you look at the reality of the world, and the characters. And we now know they eventually put their time and energy into building Republic City. So that's pretty spot on.
Mae I imagine would be pretty bored. I could see her very easily starting to root around in any remaining records, trying to figure out what happened to Zuko's mother.
Katara loves Aang, and nothing would change that. But she would be placed in two hard places. The reality that she now has to share Aang with the world, and the responcibility that he's the last of his kind. Both are a lot of pressure.
I'd have her running off with Mae, to look for Zuko's mom. Just trying to escape.
Sokka we know is wishywashy. Anytime he gets too close to Suki, he always starts to feel like he's betraying Yui. The female characters in this show have always been well written, and always been strong and assertive. I could see Suki (Probably followed by Ty Lee) travel to the north pole, to speak to the moon spirit, and ask Yui directly for permission to be with and marry Sokka.
Sokka, Toph, and Iroh would be fun to have them on some sort of adventure.
Granted, none of it's real, but that's what I always wanted to see. And what always seemed most logical and what I believe a fairly realistic direction the characters would go in.
